We’re Joseph and Kalyn! We’ve been traveling full-time for the past 5 years. But it’s not just the two of us. We have a rabbit named, Cody, and a rescue pup, Trinity. We’re avid hikers, love boondocking in remote locations, and work as online content creators in both the travel and productivity niche. Today, we’re giving you a tour of our almost 20-year old fifth wheel, which we renovated in al...

After lallygagging in Utah to avoid the cold, we’re traveling over 500 miles as we make our way north towards Alaska. And since we hear grocery prices are a tad more expensive up there, we spend triple our normal budget to stock up on our favorite supplies. But make sure you watch until the very end, because after our massive grocery shopping trip, we arrive home to find quite the surprise. JOI...

They said we were STUPID to consider a $200/day gate guarding job. “They” meaning the RUclips know-it-alls watching us hustle from the comfort of their couch. 🙄 Our first gig was tough, for sure. 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️We worked 24/7 for 12 days straight, checking service trucks in/out every few minutes. Oh no! I'm glad that didn't end up worse! Yes...we consider ourselves super lucky that they have gotten along so well. It was our primary concern in adopting Trinity in the first place just because we didn't want to cause any issues for Cody to deal with. -J

Haha. See...you don't understand that I (Joseph) am the lucky one. She took our families finances on her back of her business for years after I lost my job as a camera guy. And during this work camping time she was still working hours upon hours to rebuild her business on top of doing her part to get this youtube thing off the ground. Making a meal and doing some dishes to tell her I love her? No brainer. -J

You're right Joseph. I didn't understand the backstory. If that's the case then that's OK. I see many women today taking advantage of men and I shake my head as to why they would let that happen. Thanks for the explanation. I really enjoy your videos and know that because someone disagrees that doesn't make them hater. Keep on producing videos. They are at the top of my watchlist.

Peanut Butter . . . . always read the label. We found the local store brand (Kroger) is all natural ingredients, no sugar added. And always go nutty!

Oh we know what's on the label.... 😂 But but... like so many wonderfully tastey things... we choose to ignore it. Granted - we eat a lot of fruits and veggies and when we eat out too much we both start getting that "ick" feeling...but there are somethings we aren't willing to give up and Jiff is one. 😁 -J

Hey Mike! Thanks for your concern. As to the space between them, whenever we have missed a week (just 2 times in the past more than 6 months) we let people know on our channel community page: www.youtube.com/@OpenRoading/community As to the video length they always vary from video to video. We try to have a minimum of 20 minutes up to 30 minutes. Of our past 8 normal videos, 1/2 of them were over 30 minutes. Of the 8 before that, (and skipping the 2 bonus videos) only 2 were over 30 minutes. That's not a defense of our length, your comment just made me curious. Generally you can expect our videos to be somewhere between 20-30 minutes long...sometimes longer. -J

Hard to work with and expensive, Sikaflex 1a caulk from Home Depot should solve your cabinet panel cracking issues. your white should be a close match and if not paint the joints

While I understand this - I’m not in favor of making public land and especially public landmarks inaccessible purely because some humans suck. Make precautions. People go to general Sherman and other redwoods all the time. There has got to be a happy medium IMO. -J
